Effect of Deformation on the Microstructure of Cold-Rolled TA2 Alloy after Low-Temperature Nitriding

In order to improve the low hardness and poor wear resistance of TA2, this paper proposes a composite process cold-rolling low-temperature plasma nitriding with recrystallization. This modification can effectively achieve dual goals modifying matrix structure surface TA2 alloy simultaneously. The experimental results indicate that when deformation rate increases, small-sized grains in sample increase significantly, grain orientation changes from TD (transverse direction) RD (rolling then TD. {0001} basal texture deflected direction direction, {10-10} cylindrical components gradually increased, special phenomenon conical disappeared, it be seen an promotes XRD test after nitriding, metastable phase TiN0.26 is formed on TA2. SEM morphology cross-section shows relatively nitrided zone formed, mechanical performance increased.
